Note: When installing the thermal bypass plug verify that the housing is clean and free from corrosion and pitting near the top. If excess pitting or corrosion is present a leak may occur which will require the housing be replaced as well. Apply a liberal amount of transmission fluid to the O-rings to aid in a better installation and prevent tearing or cutting of the O-rings.
